1 - When our children are at their most vulnerable, these individuals provide comfort and compassionate care.
Hospitalization can be scary for anyone, particularly for a child who is already sick or in pain. Pediatric nurses know
how to put children at ease while healing their bodies.
2 - Pediatric nurses take the time to comfort families and educate them on current situations and ongoing health and treatment plans.
A child’s illness or injury is difficult on parents and loved ones as well. The uncertainty of health emergencies can be
debilitating, and pediatric nurses understand this. They strive to explain diagnoses to parents and educate them on next
steps.
This week - October 3-7 - take a minute to thank the pediatric nurses in your life! If you’re looking for special ways

A message from Jessica A., Traveling Pediatric ICU RN
Travel nursing is really a dream come true! Being able to combine my passions of helping sick children and traveling the
country is such a blessing. I wouldn't be able to do it without the guidance of my recruiter, Mallory. She is always
there for me with advice and as an advocate. I always feel like I am her top priority. It really is exceptional to work
with her!
