American Traveler is hiring an RN for a high-volume Cardiac Cath Lab role requiring a KY or compact RN license and recent cath lab experience.

Details

• Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab unit focused on neuro intervention and advanced cardiac care, including angioplasty, ablations, devices, TEEs, and cardioversions
• High-volume lab setting with approximately 10+ cases per day, including PCI, STEMI, and high-risk cases such as Impella/IABP
• Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule
• Weekends and holidays required
• Call requirement on an 8-week rotating schedule, including 2 Fridays, 2 weekend shifts, and 1-2 weekday night call shifts per week
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• 2+ years of recent, continuous cath lab experience preferred, including PCI, STEMI call, and high-risk case management
• Steady work history preferred
• Neuro-interventional experience a plus
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in the Cath Lab, including assessments, treatments, and coordination of individualized care plans
• Facilitate patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes in collaboration with the care team
• Educate patients and families on procedures, treatments, and discharge planning
• Collaborate with an interprofessional care team to deliver holistic, evidence-based nursing care
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and core measure tracking
• Must reside within a 75-mile radius for the travel pay rate; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
