American Traveler is hiring a Chemo-Certified Oncology Infusion RN with at least one year of chemotherapy experience and current ONS/ONCC certification for an adult infusion clinic setting.

Details

• Work in an adult oncology infusion clinic setting open 7 days a week
• Shifts vary between 8-12 hours, with scheduling based on a 3-day, 36-hour work week
• Must be willing to work weekends and holidays

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certification
• Current ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
• Minimum of 1 year chemotherapy nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills

Additional Information

• Administer chemotherapy drugs, PO and SC medications, and other treatments as ordered by physician
• Consult with medical staff regarding chemotherapy protocols and side effect management
• Assist physicians during conscious sedation and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitor physiological data and intervene as needed based on patient condition
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Educate patients and families on chemotherapy-related care and clinic procedures
• Coordinate patient follow-up care, referrals, and post-visit phone triage
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
