American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a fast-paced Med/Surg Observation unit requiring 1 year of travel experience and prior short-stay cardiac/stroke care background.

Details

• 13-week contract with a schedule of 06:45-19:15
• 24-bed Med/Surg Observation unit functioning as an extension of the Emergency Room
• Fast-paced short-stay population including hypertensive urgency, stroke work-ups, titratable cardiac drips, acute infections, cardiac work-ups, and ESRD
• 36-48 hour contracts acceptable
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required per unit need

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Deliver compassionate, clinically strong care to a short-stay patient population
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply that could affect pay rate
• Travelers should begin discussing contract extensions with their manager at least 45 days before the assignment end date
