American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit role requiring critical neuro care experience and Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma background.

Details

• 10-bed Progressive Care Unit
• Patient population includes neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, stroke, TBI, spinal cord injury, and post-surgical neuro/spine cases
• Primary Stroke Center with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) trials involving lumbar drains
• Care involves arterial lines, ventriculostomies, subdural drains, and lumbar drains
• Day/Night rotation schedule with 36 or 48 hours per week

Requirements

• Active RN license (NH or Compact) required
• BLS certification mandatory
• Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and invasive BP monitoring via arterial lines
• Experience with Bi-PAP/C-PAP and trach C-PAP patients on ventilators
• Experience administering low dose pressors, vasoactive meds, and inotropes
• Experience with Mannitol and 3% saline administration
• Experience managing trachs, complex wounds, and post-surgical lines/tubes/drains
• Experience with ventriculostomies, subdural drains, and lumbar drains

Additional Information

• Provide advanced neuro critical care to a complex surgical and medical patient population
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
