Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiovascular OR RN with heart/CVOR experience for a pediatric hospital setting requiring MO and KS licensure.

Details

• Work in the CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) unit
• Pediatric cardiovascular surgical patient population
• Day shift schedule: 4x10 hours, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Call requirement of approximately 10 days per month, also on day shift
• Late days required as needed in addition to call days
• Floating required between the main campus and a sister hospital in Overland Park, KS, approximately 12 miles away

Requirements

• Active RN license: Missouri (or compact) and Kansas licenses both required
• Documentation of Kansas license application required if starting with main campus and license is pending
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only; RQI certifications not accepted)
• Heart/cardiovascular experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Peds experience preferred but not required
• Must pass a medication/dosage test with 100% accuracy within first week (up to three attempts allowed)

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a pediatric cardiovascular surgical setting
• Facility is smoke-free and nicotine-free, with nicotine testing conducted
