American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Hem/Onc RN for a 3x12 night shift assignment requiring APHON Chemotherapy certification and Level I trauma experience.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric Hem Onc unit of a hospital setting
• Care for pediatric patients with hematology and oncology diagnoses ranging from simple to complex
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Administer chemotherapy, medications, and IV infusions/blood products
• Monitor physiological data and intervene as needed for assigned patients

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma or multistate compact eNLC)
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
• APHON Chemotherapy certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Minimum of 6 months Level I trauma experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Full DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of pediatric oncology patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Communicate care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Compliance documents and onboarding steps must begin immediately upon offer due to strict facility deadlines
• Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer
• Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
