American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN to circulate complex cardiovascular and vascular cases in a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of CVOR experience.

Details

• Works in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Circulates complex cases including Adult Heart and Lung Transplant, Type A Dissections, CABG, Valves, TAVRs, AAA, Diagnostic and Exploratory Lap, EVARs, TEVARs, and FEVARs
• Facility services multiple lines including Adult Cardiac, Thoracic, Transplant, Vascular, Bariatric, Panc/Bili, Colorectal, Plastics, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Urology, and MIS with 5 DaVinci robots
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, Monday-Friday 6:00 PM-6:30 AM
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to assist with holiday coverage for 1 major holiday, either on-call or in-house
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• 1:1 patient ratio

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required in hand at start of contract
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Must be able to circulate complex cardiovascular and vascular cases
• Scrubbing experience in Cardiac/Vascular cases highly preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Radiation badge required, to be provided by agency
• Driver's license and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Circulate complex cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases
• During hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; approvals are based on department needs
• Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
• Radius rule of 60 miles applies, with non-local candidates prioritized first
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per pay period (2 weeks)
