American Traveler is seeking a Director of Nursing/RN Supervisor for a Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care unit, requiring prior WI SNF/LTC leadership experience and a BSN.

Details

• Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care facility within a hospital and trauma center setting
• 80 hours per 2-week pay period
• Variable day shift hours with 24/7 accountability, Monday to Friday
• Uses Epic EMR
• Holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• BSN required upon hire, graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 3 years of experience, with 2-4 years in a supervisory role in long-term care nursing or demonstrated leadership/management experience in a long-term care facility
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire (additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, PEARS, or NRP may be required per unit)
• Working knowledge of reimbursement systems and State/Federal regulations within Long Term Care and TJC standards
• Must have prior experience working in a WI SNF/LTC facility

Additional Information

• Provides shift supervision to nursing staff including hiring, training, evaluation, assignment, and delegation of duties
• Coordinates nursing care activities to ensure continuity of care across the continuum
• Develops and implements policies and procedures to meet Federal and State regulatory requirements
• Provides continuing education to ensure staff competency
• Oversees case management including assessment, coordination, planning, monitoring, and evaluation
• Organizes interdisciplinary resident care programs including care planning and restorative care
• Acts as a patient advocate and resource for residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Responsible for monthly quality data reporting including falls, skin integrity, psychotropic medications, and chart compliance
• Guides and enforces proper infection control practices
• Provides input into departmental budget process and maintains monthly expense records
