American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least one year of ICU experience and PALS certification.

Details

• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• CVICU and NICU experience preferred
• Level 1 trauma center experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to pediatric ICU patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex
• Assess, monitor, and document patient responses to treatments and interventions
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products as prescribed
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Communicate care plans and discharge information with patients and families
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced and start dates cannot be pushed once booked
