American Traveler is hiring an experienced Ambulatory OR RN with pediatric and Phase II recovery experience for a day shift assignment requiring float coverage across multiple facilities.

Details

• Ambulatory Care unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Provides pre-op and Phase II recovery care to surgical services patients
• Required to float within a network of five hospitals based on staffing needs
• Block scheduling is not permitted

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required, verified via Nursys dated within 2 weeks of submission
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience, with recent experience within the last 12 months
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• BLS certification must not expire within 30 days of assignment start date
• Pediatric experience required
• Specialized experience in surgical services, able to perform Phase II pre-op/post-op care in an ambulatory setting
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Must be able to scrub within the posted OR specialty
• Skills required include pre/post-op assessments, EKG/ECG, medication reconciliation, IV therapy, urinary catheterization, and emergency medication administration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include pre-op assessments, discharge instructions, follow-up calls, medication reconciliation, and obtaining operative consents
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• RTO must be submitted at time of profile submission; requests after submission will not be accepted
• No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
• Travel pairs are not accepted; candidates must be considered individually
• Pre-employment labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to starting on the unit
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required with no exemptions
• First-time travelers accepted but not preferred
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to the local pay rate
