Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN Perioperative Circulator for a Pediatric OR with Level I pediatric surgical experience and a current OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Weekend day shift schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• No call requirements, though overtime may be available if needed
• Pediatric operating room setting requiring Level I pediatric OR experience
• Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one year of experience in an acute operating room environment
• Level I pediatric OR experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of AORN Standards and professional nursing theory and practice
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Basic computer skills

Additional Information

• Plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for pediatric patients during operative and invasive procedures
• Individualizes patient care according to health status, age, and type of procedure
• Documents and evaluates all aspects of perioperative patient care using the nursing process
• Works collaboratively as part of a specialized surgical team
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed once booked
• Workers may extend only once for a maximum of 26 weeks before requiring a 6-month separation prior to reapplying
