American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a flex pool position floating between medical, surgical, and cardiovascular units, requiring a HI RN license and 2-10 years of experience.

Details

• Flex RN floats between Medical, Laulima (Surgical Acute), and Cardiovascular units
• Medical unit has 77 beds, Laulima has 18 beds, and Cardiovascular has 15 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: Medical 1:6 days/eves and 1:8 nights, Laulima 1:6, Cardiovascular 1:4 (ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves)
• 12-hour day shifts (0645-1915), scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation
• No guarantee of hours
• Uses Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
• Floating to Cardiovascular Unit occurs on rare occasions

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required by start of assignment
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC certifications preferred
• 2-10 years of nursing experience required
• Medical exemption and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documented proof of immunity

Additional Information

• Provide flexible nursing coverage by floating between multiple medical and surgical units as needed
• Unit-specific orientation and training provided for each floated unit
• Professional nursing attire with clean scrubs required
• Holiday coverage required
• Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend an employee health appointment the following Friday
• Candidates must be available to start on time and should not accept the offered start date if unable to meet this requirement
