Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring an active VA or compact license and prior travel experience.

Details

• ICU unit setting with the possibility of floating to other hospital areas such as CVICU/CVSD or Cardiac Tele
• Night shift schedule of 3x12s with an option for 4x12s
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week assignment length
• On-call may be required for certain areas within a 30 mile/30 minute radius of campus
• Uses Epic EMR for clinical documentation, with training class assigned based on prior Epic experience

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Minimum of one previous travel assignment required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must complete Epic Clin Doc training (accelerated or 2-day class based on experience level)

Additional Information

• Care for critically ill patients within the ICU, with potential floating to related specialty units
• Floating, if required, will follow client staffing policies and Joint Commission standards
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), with exemptions subject to CMS guideline compliance
• Facility is smoke and nicotine free
• Previous VHC staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• RTO requests should be minimal and submitted prior to assignment start, as approval after offer is not guaranteed
• Up to 7 hours of non-billable orientation modules required, completed during onboarding
