American Traveler is hiring an experienced Acute Dialysis RN with required Fresenius machine experience and Epic EMR proficiency for a 13-week assignment in Des Moines, IA.

Details

• Acute dialysis unit setting across Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran Hospital campuses
• Days shift, 3x12s, 7a-7p, 36 hrs/week
• Weekend rotation required every 3rd weekend
• Minimal on-call required with rotating weekday and weekend on-call shifts
• Patient population includes remote tele and ICU dialysis patients including AKI and ESRD
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• Uses Fresenius 2008T machines for hemodialysis and Baxter Homechoice Claria for peritoneal dialysis
• Required to float across both Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran campuses
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate license required
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Minimum 24 months of current dialysis experience required, including inpatient and acute dialysis experience
• Experience with tele reads and measurement required
• Experience using Fresenius dialysis machines required
• Hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• No first-time travelers considered

Additional Information

• Provide dialysis care to acute and critically ill patients including those with AKI and ESRD
• Navy blue, solid-color scrubs required
• Holiday coverage required for 1-2 of 3 upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments at other UPH markets within 12 months of separation
