American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN with 24+ months of relevant experience and prior travel contract history for a 13-week assignment in Des Moines, IA.

Details

• Med/Surg unit caring for all types of medical-surgical patients
• Patient ratios of 4-5:1 with a 15-bed unit
• Heparin drip management required
• Remote tele tech monitoring for cardiac patients
• Days shift, 4x12-hour shifts totaling 48 hrs/week (36s can be accommodated if preferred)
• Weekend rotation every other or every third weekend depending on staffing needs
• No on-call requirements
• Required to float across all campuses (Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, Iowa Methodist) within contracted skillset/unit
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Minimum 24 months of Med Surg/Med Surg Tele experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Heparin drip experience required
• Telemetry/cardiac background highly preferred
• Precepting experience a plus
• Must have completed at least one travel contract within the previous 18 months
• Driver's license required for consideration

• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Prior UPH employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments at other UPH markets
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
