American Traveler is hiring an experienced Pediatric CVICU RN for a 13-week assignment requiring PALS certification and prior pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU and 12-bed overflow unit
• Patient population includes congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD patients
• Age range spans neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult CHD patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU status and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU overflow patients
• Day shift schedule from 07:00-19:30
• 13-week contract length

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, PALS, and ACLS (AHA required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience required
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiac patients across a wide age range and acuity level
• Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply that affects pay rate
• Travelers should discuss extension opportunities with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date
