American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager for a Mon-Fri day shift acute hospital role requiring 1 year of case management/utilization review experience and an active NY RN license.

Details

• Acute hospital setting within the Case Management department
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Mon-Fri block schedule
• No weekend requirement
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of case management/utilization review experience required
• Experience with care coordination, discharge planning, and needs assessment/DME ordering
• Experience determining medical necessity using InterQual and Milliman guidelines
• Experience with admission criteria, concurrent review, and continued stay reviews
• Familiarity with CMS and HIPAA regulatory guidelines
• Experience in Emergency Department, ICU, SDU/PCU/IMC/Obs, Surgical Services, or Women's Services preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include utilization review, discharge planning, and coordinating patient care plans
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former Guthrie Healthcare System employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Preference for candidates requesting 5 days or less of RTO

• Approximately 4 hours of non-billable orientation modules must be completed prior to starting
