American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with a 15-bed LDRP unit requiring OB, Mother/Baby, and L&D experience along with active MI licensure.

Details

• 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:30)
• Every other weekend requirement
• No call requirement
• Provides antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub nurse, newborn nurse at delivery, and couplet care
• Performs lab draws and hearing screens on newborns using the ALGO 5 Machine
• Floats to all areas of LDRP and to other units as a sitter when needed
• May float to a second facility approximately 27 miles away when census allows
• Uses EPIC for documentation
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• NRP certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate or NCC C-EFM certification required (only one needed)
• AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• OB, Mother/Baby, and L&D experience required
• Circulating and FHM Triage skills required
• Scrub skills preferred
• Supervisor-level references required
• Proof of flu vaccination required for consideration

Additional Information

• Will be trained to complete newborn infant hearing screens using the ALGO 5 Machine
• Travelers are given priority for floating assignments
• Scrubs are provided
• No RTO permitted during the first 8 days of the contract
• RTO limited to no more than 10 days total
• Holiday time off requests are not guaranteed
• Locals accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
• Previous internal travelers may return after 6 months and previous permanent staff after 1 year
