American Traveler is hiring an experienced Pediatric ICU RN with critical care skills for a Day-shift assignment requiring WA or compact RN licensure and PALS certification.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes pediatric critical care cases such as ENT, general surgery, ortho, and pre/post-op patients
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to NICU or other units within skill set, with orientation provided
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at submission
• BLS and PALS certifications required; NRP and CRRT certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent PICU experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Skills required include ventilator management, chest tube care, trach care, CVP monitoring, central line/PICC management, blood product administration, and pediatric dosage calculations
• CRRT and procedural sedation experience preferred
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients requiring advanced respiratory, cardiovascular, and renal support
• Deliver specialized care including trach care, chest tube management, CRRT, and procedural sedation
• Collaborate with a pediatric critical care team in a fast-paced ICU environment
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Limited RTO accepted; requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• First-time travelers accepted if they meet experience requirements
• Former Providence permanent staff must have been separated for at least 3 months and reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius unless applying under local candidate terms
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities as needed
