American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for a day shift position requiring 3+ years of tele experience and 6 months of travel nursing experience.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required, plus additional weekends based on unit need
• On-call as needed
• May float to other units within scope of practice, and potentially to other campuses with as little as 1.5 hours notice (shuttle provided)
• Epic charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI or MAB
• 3+ years of RN telemetry experience required
• 6 months of travel nursing experience required
• 2 references obtained within the last year required for consideration
• Community hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response including rapid response/code team activation
• Skills may include IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, HFNC), and wound care
• Experience with neurological conditions such as CVA, craniotomy, and seizure disorders is valued
• Cardiac skills including pacemaker management, cardiac drip titration, and post cardiac cath/surgery care are valued
• Local candidates accepted at the local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning travelers must have a minimum 1-year separation before reapplying
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
• Compliance labs must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
