American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN with Cardiac/Neuro telemetry experience for a night shift assignment requiring an active MA RN license in hand.

Details

• Cardiac/Neuro unit (3 East) within a teaching hospital setting
• Unit size ranges from 20 to 34 beds depending on unit
• Typical patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required
• Block scheduling not considered

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand at time of profile upload (compact license not accepted)
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required in hand at time of profile upload
• Minimum 4 years of current Med/Surg, Cardiac, and Neuro experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia course strongly required
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• High proficiency with Cardiac/Neuro patients required; straight Med/Surg experience not accepted
• Must have own vehicle for the assignment
• Skills checklist specific to Med/Surg, current within 1 year, required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a high-acuity Cardiac/Neuro Med/Surg unit
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted per dress code
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
• Holiday coverage required for two of the following: Thanksgiving and the Friday/weekend after, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and the Friday/weekend after, or New Year's Eve/New Year's Day and the Friday/weekend after
• All scheduling and RTO requests must be finalized at the time of submission; no changes will be approved after offer
• No more than 5 days of RTO accepted for the duration of the assignment
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Permanent address must be included in profile to avoid processing delays
• Not suitable for candidates seeking to work concurrently with another permanent or travel placement
