American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Long Term Care position requiring a minimum of two years of LTAC experience and a compact or MS RN license.

Details

• 100-bed Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility setting
• Geriatric/short-term and Post Acute/LTAC patient population including trach patients
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:20
• Nurse Practitioner on duty Mon-Fri 7a-4:30p with ancillary staff support (9 days, 7 nights)
• 12-hour day shift schedule from 0645-1908, 36 hours per week
• Schedule alternates between Mon/Th/Fri plus Tu or Wed/Sat/Sun, or a 36/48 split rotation
• Uses Epic EMR
• Float required to units within competencies
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No block or self-scheduling

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard/Compact or Mississippi)
• BLS (AHA) certification required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum two years of LTAC experience required
• 400+ bed or Level 2 trauma experience strongly preferred
• Prior travel experience required, though strong first-time travelers may be considered
• Must pass a pre-assignment Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia (rhythm strip) test with a minimum score of 80%
• Full date of birth, Social Security Number, and RTO required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to geriatric and post-acute/LTAC patients, including trach care
• Facility-provided scrub color required per unit dress code
• Fingerprinting process must begin within 48 hours of offer acceptance
• Complete availability and scheduling flexibility required as a non-negotiable expectation
• This assignment must be maintained as the primary work commitment above any other position
• Covid vaccine and flu shot are not required; if declined, a mask must be worn at all times except during meals
• Candidates must not have worked in a permanent or per diem role at this health system within the last 12 months
