American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift role requiring 1 year of experience and LTAC background.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Cares for adult and geriatric patients with heart failure, Afib, Afib with RVR, stroke, and post PCI/cardiac cath diagnoses
• Patient ratio of 1:6/7
• Night shift, 4x12 hours from 19:00-07:30, with 36 or 48 hour options accepted
• Floating required
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Uses Cerner for documentation, Omnicell for medication administration, and SBAR for communication

Requirements

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
• LTAC experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Skilled in cardiac telemetry monitoring (on-unit and remote), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with pacemakers, post cardiac angiogram, post MI, and pre/post cardiac cath care
• Experience with TR Band, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care/management
• Familiar with heparin protocols and management of cardiac drips (no titration)
• Experience caring for CVA and intracranial bleed patients
• Skilled in nasal cannula and oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
• Teaching hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive cardiac telemetry nursing care including dysrhythmia monitoring and management
• Utilize rapid response/code teams as needed
• Navy blue scrubs required
