American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry/PCU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment at a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring cardiac cath experience and a compact or PA RN license.

Details

• Medical Surgical Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit setting within a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Cardiac geriatric patient population with diagnoses including CP, MI, open heart, Watchman, TAVR, post-op cardiac cath, and post-op pacer
• RN to patient ratio of 1:5, with NA ratios of 10-12 during days and 20-22 during nights
• Utilizes pacer alines equipment
• EPIC EMR system used
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend rotation based on unit staffing needs
• No on-call requirements
• Not normally floated, though may float to 1:1 assignments depending on unit needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) or PA license required, currently in hand
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• 2+ years of RN experience preferred
• Cardiac experience required, including cardiac cath experience
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance and Department of Human Services fingerprinting required prior to start
• FBI Department of Aging fingerprinting required (within last two years) prior to start
• PATCH PA State Police Clearance required for employment
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to cardiac and geriatric telemetry patients including monitoring, treatment, and post-procedural care
• Must be willing and able to work all shift types including days, nights, and mid shifts
• Positive attitude and strong team fit valued by the unit
• Scrubs of any color accepted; hoodies not permitted
• Only nose stud piercings are allowed; no other visible piercings
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate; local rate applies otherwise
• Previous permanent staff employment with any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months disqualifies candidates
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
• All required clearances and screenings must be complete prior to start
