American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown position requiring an active IL RN license and prior stepdown experience.

Details

• Cardiac Stepdown unit within a hospital setting
• Historically maintained 1:7 patient ratio
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call requirements
• Float requirement to same discipline across local campuses
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required, IA license or compact application required at time of offer
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of previous stepdown experience required
• Experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines required
• Experience administering and titrating Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Work history/resume required for consideration
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission required for consideration
• One supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment/contract required for consideration

Additional Information

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary team providing patient care
• Care for patients in a Level 1 trauma center
