American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring MA licensure and ortho/post-op nursing experience.

Details

• Surgical Med/Surg unit with 20 to 34 beds depending on unit
• Typical patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift, three 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM), 36 or 48 hours guaranteed per schedule
• Every other weekend required, with holidays required if needed
• No on-call requirements
• Float required to any Med/Surg unit; block scheduling not considered

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand prior to consideration (compact license not accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required in hand prior to consideration
• Minimum 2 years current Medical Surgical experience required
• Post-op patient care experience required
• Orthopedic nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Skills checklist for Medical Surgical experience, current within 1 year, required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required

Additional Information

• Care for surgical Med/Surg patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted
• Must work two designated holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and following weekend
• No more than 5 days of requested time off accepted for the assignment, and all time off requests must be finalized prior to submission
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
