American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a critical care role at a teaching hospital, requiring MA licensure and hemodynamic/vent monitoring skills.

Details

• 20-bed Critical Care unit within a teaching hospital setting
• 1:2 patient ratio
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM, scheduled as 36 or 48 hours per week
• Floating to PCU required as needed
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in-hand prior to starting (compact license not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of current Critical Care experience required
• Willingness to float to PCU required
• Experience with ventilators, ICP monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring required
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• TNCC certification preferred
• BSN preferred
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
• Skills checklist for Critical Care experience, current within 1 year, required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing services within a high-acuity ICU setting
• Must work two designated holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through the following weekend
• No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted, and all RTO must be submitted with the candidate profile prior to interview
• Scheduling requests must be finalized prior to submission; requests made after offer or interview will not be approved
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Candidates must have their own vehicle
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
