American Traveler is hiring a Hospice RN with 2+ years of experience for a home health/hospice assignment covering geriatric patients in the Arlington, VA territory.

Details

• Home health/hospice setting covering geriatric patients
• Caseload of approximately 5-7 patients per day
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM-5:00 PM)
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Covers the Arlington, VA territory
• Mileage reimbursed at $0.58 per mile
• Uses Netsmart charting system

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in hospice, end-of-life, or palliative care preferred
• Skills in pain management, symptom assessment, and death/dying counseling preferred
• THC drug screening required, with medical marijuana card acceptance based on state laws

Additional Information

• Provide end-of-life care including symptom management, pain control, and patient/family education
• Support patients and families with advance directives, bereavement planning, and postmortem care
• Scrub dress code of any color permitted
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks or during orientation
• No call-ins permitted during the assignment
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
