American Traveler is hiring a Phase I PACU RN with an active MA RN license and Epic charting experience to care for pediatric and adult post-anesthesia patients.

Details

• Phase I Post Anesthesia Care Unit within a hospital setting
• Cares for pediatric and adult patients recovering from ophthalmology, ENT, and head and neck surgical procedures
• Surgical complexity ranges from routine outpatient cases to complex airway procedures, microvascular reconstruction, and head and neck oncologic surgery
• Transitions patients safely to Phase II recovery, inpatient units, or intensive care based on clinical needs
• Schedule consists of 4 10-hour shifts or 3 12-hour shifts, day/evening rotation
• Uses Epic for charting
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required, no conditional or pending licenses accepted
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
• Primary source verification of license and certifications required within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration
• Both NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required for nursing license
• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Provides evidence-based nursing care using advanced assessment and critical thinking to manage post-operative complications and ensure safe patient transitions
• Flu vaccination required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate; closer candidates are considered local with a reduced rate
• No validated parking available at Boston locations; public transportation or paid public parking required
