Description

American Traveler is seeking a Vascular Access RN with Mid-line and PICC placement experience to independently perform ultrasound-guided vascular access procedures in a hospital setting.

Details

• Vascular Access Team (VAT) position rotating between two hospital campuses
• Places peripheral lines, midline catheters, and PICC lines using ultrasound guidance
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 40 hours per week with weekend on-call rotation
• On-call coverage required for Saturday and Sunday at one campus location
• Holiday on-call coverage required as needed
• 30-minute call back response time required
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU or ER experience required
• Must have hands-on Mid-line and PICC placement experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• PICC certification preferred
• Infusion therapy experience preferred

Additional Information

• Assesses patient needs for vascular access device placement and determines appropriate device type, location, and safety of line placement
• Acts as an expert resource for ultrasound-guided vascular access procedures including peripheral lines, midline catheters, and PICC lines
• Provides expert guidance and troubleshooting support to team members managing vascular access devices
• Works under the direction of nursing leadership
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate for most locations
