American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit setting
• 1:5 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
• Uses Meditech Expanse EMR

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required in-hand prior to start
• BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, CMSRN, or RN-BC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Meditech charting experience strongly preferred
• Community hospital and LTAC experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central/PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and dysrhythmia management preferred
• Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions
• Driver's license required for consideration

• Participate in rapid response and code team activities as needed
• Strong teamwork, self-direction, time management, and communication skills required
• Fast-paced work environment requiring adaptability
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within an 80-mile radius
• Call-offs restricted to no more than one week of RTO
• Completion of facility training modules required prior to start and annually
• Candidates should indicate holiday availability at time of consideration
• First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
