Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Room RN for a Level II trauma center requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Level II trauma center within a 350+ bed non-teaching community hospital seeing 45,000+ patients annually
• 30+ bed Emergency Department
• Patient ratios vary by acuity and census, as mandated by the state of CA
• 12-hour rotating evening/night shifts with 3p/5p/7p start times
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• Typically works every other weekend
• Floats as needed within scope of skill and patient care needs
• Epic EMR used, experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (CA EMSA accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Some trauma experience required
• Pediatric ER experience strongly preferred
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Two clinical references from the last two places of employment, including one from a Nurse Manager or Director within the last year
• Complete employment history for the past 7 years with explanations for any gaps over 30 days
• Current skills checklist valid within the past year
