American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring at least 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience and a Trauma Level II background.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
• Days schedule, 4x10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday with a rotating day off, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
• On-call responsibilities include 1-2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend (7:30 PM Friday through 7 AM Monday)
• Occasional weekend assigned cases may be required
• Floating required across Des Moines campuses to like units
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate license required
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 24 months of current Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Circulating and monitoring experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Structural heart experience highly preferred
• EP experience highly preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Scrubbing experience preferred
• Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Precepting may be required as needed
• Holiday coverage required for 1-2 of 3 upcoming holidays unless the unit is closed
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Past UnityPoint Health employees may be restricted from working travel assignments depending on their employment history and market
