American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry Unit position specializing in cardiac procedure care with 1 year of travel experience required.

Details

• Work in a fast-paced, high-acuity 30-bed telemetry unit
• Specializes in pre- and post-cardiac procedure care including post heart cath, sheath management, electrophysiology interventions, post pacemaker/ICD implants, cardiac drip titrations, post cardiac ablations, and heart blocks/new dysrhythmia onset
• Night shift schedule from 18:45-07:15
• Every other weekend required
• 36-48 hour contracts acceptable
• Required holidays will be discussed during interview

Requirements

• Active RN license (FL or Compact) currently in hand
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Strong critical thinking, clinical skills, and teamwork abilities required for high-acuity cardiac patient care

Additional Information

• Provide specialized nursing care for pre- and post-cardiac procedure patients requiring close monitoring
• Must reside outside the facility's radius rule to qualify for the full travel rate; local candidates within the radius may be considered at a reduced rate
• Begin discussing contract extension with the manager at least 45 days before the assignment end date
