Description

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN with MD state licensure and PALS certification for a role covering pediatric through adult patients with rotating shifts and on-call requirements.

Details

• Work in the PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) setting
• Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
• Day shift position with rotating schedules (2x8 hours 07:00-15:30, 2x10 hours 07:00-17:30) within department hours of 07:30-20:30
• Every other weekend required, inclusive of scheduled call
• On-call required, typically three shifts per four-week period covering Friday nights, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays
• Floating required within specialty, other units, and sister facilities within scope

Requirements

• Active RN license in Maryland or compact license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Experience caring for pediatric, adolescent, and adult PACU patients

Additional Information

• Holiday coverage required as scheduled, inclusive of on-call responsibilities
• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care across a range of patient ages
