American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift renal medical surgical position requiring at least 1 year of experience and GA or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Renal Medical Surgical unit caring for adult to geriatric patients
• 49-bed unit with an average daily census of 48
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• Uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication systems
• Works every other weekend unless otherwise specified
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skills preferred include chest tube management, central/PICC line care, IV therapy, blood product administration, wound care/wound vac, telemetry monitoring, pre/post hemodialysis management, and rapid response team participation

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to a renal med/surg population including monitoring, wound care, and medication administration
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Max RTO of 7 days per contract, must be finalized prior to submission
• No RTO permitted during orientation week
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
• First-time travelers are accepted, though charge nurse experience is requested
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Previous Piedmont employees (perm, per diem, or FCSS) must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler
• Returning travelers who were previously unable to complete an assignment must complete one successful assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
