Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Tele RN for a night shift position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring BLS, ACLS, and prior high-acuity trauma experience.

Details

• 10-bed inpatient overflow admission unit
• General medical and surgical patients awaiting surgery
• Rapid admission unit with faster patient turnover than a typical med/surg floor
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for M/S RN
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma centers required
• Proven success managing critical, fast-paced, large-scale trauma cases required
• Strong independent work and communication skills required
• Work history/resume must show no employment gaps greater than 60 days

• Care for a fast-turnover population of admission and pre-surgical patients in a Level 1 trauma center setting
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel rate
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
