Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg-Tele RN for a night shift position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring BLS, ACLS, and prior trauma or high-volume hospital experience.

Details

• 10-bed inpatient overflow admission unit
• General medical and surgical patients, including surgical patients awaiting procedures
• Rapid admission unit with faster patient turnover than a typical med-surg unit
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for M/S RN
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume, or Level 1 trauma hospital settings required
• Ability to communicate clearly and work independently
• Work history/resume with no employment gaps greater than 60 days required for consideration
• Skills checklist, certification cards, and Nursys license verification required for consideration

• Care for general medical and surgical patients in a fast-paced, high-turnover admission unit
• Work within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
