American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Tele RN for a night shift position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center requiring BLS, ACLS, and prior high-volume trauma hospital experience.

Details

• 10-bed rapid admission unit with general medical and pre-surgical patients
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for Med/Surg RNs
• Faster patient turnover than a standard medical-surgical unit
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 4 weekend shifts required per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg-Tele specialty required
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospital required
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently required
• Nursys license verification, certification cards, and skills checklist required for consideration

Additional Information

• Care for general medical and surgical patients awaiting surgery in a rapid admission unit
• Work in a Level 1 trauma center handling complex, high-acuity cases
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Prior experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
