American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg-Cardiology RN with a minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience for a hospital position requiring an Illinois RN license.

Details

• Cardiovascular Med/Surg unit providing direct care to post-op day one CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00AM-7:30PM, three days per week
• 5-6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule
• Holiday coverage via department rotation
• May float to like units
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing
• BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including initial assessments, care planning, and hourly rounding
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
• Maintain unit and hospital-based competencies and a clean, organized work environment
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13 week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on assignment at this health system for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service before returning
