American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 12-hour night float pool position requiring prior travel experience and TN or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Med/Surg float pool position within a hospital setting
• Adult patient population, 18+, general medical-surgical cases
• Float coverage across 5 Med/Surg units and to the ER as needed
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:6
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Weekend shifts required
• No block schedule offered; must be flexible to meet unit staffing needs
• Unit sets the schedule
• EMR: Cerner

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Navy scrubs required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a general Med/Surg unit and float to other units or the ER as needed
• Orientation dates limited to 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, or 10/26
• No time off approved between 9/19 and 10/17 due to an Epic Go Live
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Radius rule of 75 miles applies for travel rate eligibility
