American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a Level I Trauma center, requiring prior PACU and travel nursing experience along with critical care background.

Details

• PACU unit in a Level I Trauma center hospital, also serving as a Level II pediatric trauma center and Level III NICU
• Varied 8-hour shifts covering days and evenings (0700-1530, 0900-1730, 1100-1930, 1500-2330)
• Every 3rd weekend requirement
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR
• Compact license not accepted; MN state license required

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2 years critical care experience (ICU/ED)
• Previous PACU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms
• Experience with pediatric and geriatric patient populations
• Level I Trauma center experience required
• Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to the specialty
• 2 supervisory references with dates of employment listed

Additional Information

• Provide holistic nursing care across the lifespan from neonates to older adults
• Responsible for nursing assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
• Coordinate care among disciplines and delegate activities to other care providers as appropriate
• Royal blue scrubs required
• MN DHS Net Study & fingerprinting required for all patient-facing positions
• Candidates must list any prior work history with this health system on their resume
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and may not be honored after submittal
• Candidates residing within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers
