American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring prior PCU/Stepdown experience and NJ or Compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:00
• Every other weekend required
• May float cross-campus to PCU or Tele units (HVU, 2 Pines, CC for PCU designation)
• First-to-float between City and Mainland campuses if needed
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Uses Pyxis medication system

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1.5 years of PCU/Stepdown nursing experience required
• At least 1 manager reference within the last 24 months required for consideration; 2 manager references within the last 24 months required after offer
• Copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide progressive care nursing services including cardiac monitoring, respiratory support, and management of complex medical-surgical patients
• Navy blue scrub color required
• 6-day orientation for RNs (8-hour days, Monday-Friday plus a return the following Monday)
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility accepted at a local rate differential
• RTO, block, and special scheduling requests must be submitted upfront, as late requests are unlikely to be approved
• Facility may request make-up shifts for any called-out shifts during the week or at the end of the contract
