Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN with NIHSS certification and NY licensure for a day shift assignment at a Rochester hospital.

Details

• 37-bed Med/Surg Tele unit
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00-19:00)
• Patient population is primarily elderly with respiratory, cardiac, GI, and neuro diagnoses, with potential ortho overflow
• Staffing ratio of 1:9 on all shifts
• Care Delivery Model uses teams of 1 RN, 1 LPN, and 1 PCT for up to 9 patients, with modified teams used when full teams are unavailable
• Floating required to other med/surg units
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
