Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiac Telemetry RN requiring an MD or compact RN license and NIH Stroke Scale certification for a 3x12 day shift assignment.

Details

• Cardiac Telemetry unit (3W) within a hospital setting
• Average daily census of 25 with 22 rooms and 30 beds
• Adult patient population with telemetry monitoring for primary or secondary cardiac diagnoses, stroke/TIA, and stable cardiac cath patients
• Remote telemetry monitoring via Hicuity System
• Administers specialty drips including Cardizem (non-titratable), Amiodarone, Heparin, Protonix, and Lasix
• Utilizes Zebra portable phones, Alaris IV pumps, and Covidien feeding pumps
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00am to 7:30pm
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within specialty, other units, and sister facilities within scope
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maryland State or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Prior cardiac telemetry nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care for adult cardiac and stroke patients
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Navy blue scrubs required
