American Traveler is hiring a Level IV trained RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring Advanced NRP certification and 2 years of experience.

Details

• Level IV Labor & Delivery unit in a brand new Women & Infants Hospital
• 15-bed L&D unit, 20-bed High Risk Unit, and 8-bed OB Triage
• Night shift schedule, 19:00-07:30
• 36 hours per week with every third weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• Possible float to Carmel L&D location if needed
• Follows AWHONN staffing guidelines with 1:1 ratio in active labor and up to two patients in early, latent labor
• Charge nurse responsibilities in both L&D and the High Risk Unit
• Serves as baby nurse for deliveries
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Advanced NRP certification (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics) required
• Advanced external fetal monitoring competency required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Experience with Magnesium and insulin drip management required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Must be committed to reliable attendance with no tolerance for call-offs
• Orientation consists of two shifts
