American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Stepdown/Intermediate Care unit on a dedicated Stroke Unit, requiring 2+ years of experience and a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Details

• Stepdown Intermediate Care unit within a hospital setting
• Dedicated Stroke Unit with 30 beds
• 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Patient population includes Medical, DKA, Cardiac, GI, Renal, Sepsis, Trauma, and Surgery cases
• Night shift schedule from 18:45-07:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a fast-paced stepdown/intermediate care and stroke unit environment
• Must reside within a facility-specific radius to qualify for full travel pay rate; local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate
• Candidates should discuss assignment extensions with their manager at least 45 days before the end date
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
