Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU/Stepdown RN with 2+ years of ICU experience and a VA or compact RN license for a 24-bed IMC/Medical CC Stepdown unit.

Details

• 24-bed IMC/Medical CC Stepdown unit within a hospital setting
• 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio, caring for up to 3 patients
• Patient population includes respiratory disease processes, neurological disorders, chronic illnesses, and COVID cases
• Administers drips including insulin, cardizem, heparin, Lasix, precedex, and low-dose pressors
• Uses Epic EMR
• D/N rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Weekend requirement of 5 shifts every 6 weeks
• Holiday coverage required every other holiday
• First to float among staff

Requirements

• Active RN license (VA or compact) currently in hand
• BLS certification (must be AHA) and ACLS required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior stepdown or ICU stepdown experience preferred

Additional Information

• 3-day floor orientation provided
• Scrub requirements: navy blue or solid white pants and tops (jackets navy blue or white); long sleeve undershirts must be navy or white
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
