American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a 26-week assignment requiring prior travel experience and the ability to scrub and circulate complex cardiac surgeries.

Details

• OR Float Pool position within a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital
• 56-bed OR serving inpatient and outpatient surgical services plus 5 procedural rooms
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, scheduled Monday through Friday on a rotating basis (no set block schedule)
• Patient population includes complex CABG, valve repairs, repeat cardiac procedures, heart failure, ECMO, VAD, heart and lung transplant, PTE, cardiac trauma, and adult congenital cases
• Adult patients only; pediatric OR is a separate unit
• May float between OR units within the facility but not across locations
• Call required for all cardiac surgery travelers, with three layers of call rotating every 6 weeks in addition to scheduled shifts

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must be able to both scrub and circulate cardiac surgery cases

Additional Information

• Provide scrub and circulating support for complex cardiac surgical procedures
• Limited time off approved during the assignment; expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Only 26-week assignments will be considered for this role
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate; radius rule set at 75 miles
• First-time travelers will not be considered due to prior travel experience requirement
